What Training do you need to legally operate a Boom Lift?
To safely and legally operate a boom lift (Elevated Work Platform or EWP) in Australia, the required training depends on the height and nature of the work. Operators of boom lifts over 11 metres must hold a High Risk Work Licence (WP class), while those using lifts under 11 metres need to complete the Operate EWP course or EWPA Yellow Card and demonstrated competency.
