RIICBM304D - Operate a bridge inspection unit is recommended for groups who will be operating an Under Bridge Inspection Unit.
This Bridge Inspection training course covers the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate operate a bridge inspection unit in Civil Construction, Repairs and Maintenance, Bridge Inspection, Civil Engineering, Road Authorities and Mining companies.
This unit is recommended for groups of people working in infrastructure, road maintenance, or mining industries including:
Workers who will be operating a Bridge Inspection Unit
Bridge repair and maintenance crews
Telecommunications and cable installation personnel
Transport industry workers
It includes planning and preparing, checking bridge inspection units, setting up bridge inspection units, operating bridge inspection units, carrying out operator maintenance, and cleaning up. Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors.
It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of OHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness.
On successful completion of the theory and practical assessment, students will receive:
a Statement of Attainment nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework
an Operate a bridge inspection unit photographic card.
You will also be provided with all course materials.
This Bridge Inspection training course includes 5 days of training and assessment, where participants will be required to successfully demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Am I eligible?
You must be at least 18 years old
Have basic English and Maths skills (to be able to identify and interpret workplace signs and apply yourself to the course material).
