Course Details - Scissor Lift Ticket
This Scissor Lift Ticket will provide you with the skills and practical experience to operate large and small Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts under 11m, in the construction, maintenance and mining industries.

RIIHAN301E - Operate elevating work platform
On successful completion of the theory and practical assessment, students will receive:

a Statement of Attainment nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework

a card detailing the unit of competency and the class of machines
Machine classes
Participants may complete singular or multiple machine classes, according to the type of work they will be undertaking:
-
Scissor Lift (SL)
-
Self Propelled Boom Lift under 11m (BL)
-
Vertical Lift (VL) also known as a Single Man Lift
-
Trailer Mounted Boom (TL) also known as a Cherry Picker (optional)
If you have a specific machine type that you'll be using on site, you can request it to be included in the Scissor Lift Ticket training when you book.

Course outline

Plan and prepare for operating an elevating work platform

Operate elevating work platform in line with established requirements to complete work activity

Conducting housekeeping activities
Program requirements
-
You must be at least 17 years old, or in full-time employment or full-time training
-
Have basic English and Maths skills (to be able to identify and interpret workplace procedures, documentation, safety alerts, legislation and regulations, and apply yourself to the course material)

Interpreters and electronic apps such as Google Translate are not allowed

a broad brimmed sun hat and water bottle is recommended
